Legally Blonde The Musical!!
I saw Legally Blonde the Musical at the famous Savoy Theatre whilst I was in London last Wednesday and I have been playing the album ever since!!! The cast, the costumes, the songs, the voices and the dancing all made it a very pink and very jaw-dropping experience!
I had seen and loved the movie but never imagined it as a musical, but i wanted to see a west-end production and thought this seemed like a fun and enjoyable choice!! It definitely was!! You can't help just loving the main character of Elle Woods and be drawn in by her charm and innocence! The songs were all very well put together and were all very catchy, enjoyable, fun and uplifting!! As was the choreography, which was minimal compared to most musicals I have seen but I still enjoyed it and there wasn't any need for much more but the dancers were very talented, as were the vocals of the amazing main cast, particularly Carley Stenson as Elle Woods and Natalie Casey as Paulette. There was also a lot of comedy in the show, credits go especially to Natalie Casey again and to Chris Ellis-Stanton (whose nephew I happened to be sitting next to that night) as the postman who was just hilarious!!! Well done to all the cast and crew who have managed to put on what is now my favourite musical, only enhancing my London experience!! I highly recommend seeing it or even just buying the cd on itunes!
After the show I was lucky enough to meet Carley Stenson (Elle), Ben Freeman (Walter), Ellie Kirk (margot), Nathan Pinnell (Carlos), Lincoln Stone (Dad +others) and Danielle Steers (Judge/Saleswoman), who were all lovely enough to sign autographs and get photos.
I forgot they also use real dogs to!! so adorable!!
